The Division of Behavioural Research of the Department of Communications
seeks to issue research support contracts to two individuals for full
time work over the course of a consecutive 16 month period.  This period
will begin in approximately two months.  Most of the work will be done
on-site at the Communications Research Centre at Shirley Bay.  Access to
this site will require security clearance.

There are no mandatory requirements but the following are desired: a
B.A. or equivalent certification, and experience in social science
techniques.  Training will be provided in skills if necessary.

The research projects are: electronic directories, intelligent
information systems, human perception and cognition of audio and music.

Tasks will include: preparing research materials, demonstrations,
simulations, reports; library research; conducting and recording
experiments, tests and interviews with human observers; presenting
verbal and written reports; and quantitative and qualitative data
analyis.  Equipment used will include microcomputers.

be send an information kit with a description of the projects, bidding
procedures, and reply forms.  Salaries will be established by
competitive bidding and the best value for money will be among the
