   The Ontario Centre for Large Scale Computation at the University of
Toronto has two openings for highly motivated individuals to plan,
organize and implement activities in support of the Centre's Cray
X-MP/24 supercomputer and its several front end systems.

1.  As the Supervisor, Systems you will have a thorough knowledge of
    the VAX/VMS operating system. A substantial knowledge of the UNIX
    operating system would be an asset. You will be responsible for
    the development, assurance, monitoring and reliability of the
    operating systems, languages and utilities and will direct the
    development and installation of systems, network and utility
    software.

2.  As the Programmer, Systems you will have a thorough knowledge of
    the UNIX operating system, utilities, communications systems and
    accounting interfaces. A substantial knowlege of the VAX/VMS
    operating system would be an asset.

   The successful candidates will possess a University degree in
Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science and have extensive
experience with operating systems software, computer languages and
applications programming.
