NSERC INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP Biomedical Image Analysis, 3-D Visualization Imaging Research produces image analysis and visualization software for biomedicine. Our environment is the 80386/80486 running OS/2 Presentation Manager and hosting state-of-the-art imaging and graphics engines. Typical projects include analysis of PET and NMR images, 3-dimensional reconstruction of neurons and cerebral blood vessels, confocal microscopy, volume rendering of autoradiographs, imaging of calcium levels in neurons, sequence analysis of gels, analysis of 2-D gels, quantitative densitometry, and many forms of automated morphometry. You are about to complete or have recently completed a doctorate with concentration in life science, imaging or visualization. Life science candidates should be familiar with quantitative image analysis. Computer science candidates would find some experience with biomedical applications an asset. We offer competative salary, flexible hours, the opportunity for international travel and an informal, research-oriented work environment. Contact: Dr. Peter Ramm Imaging Research Inc.
