1. The Company
INNOVUS is a small but growing software company located in
Hamilton, Ontario. INNOVUS maintains an on-going
relationship with McMaster University, and provides benefits
associated with employment there including medical, drug,
dental, eye care packages and access to courses in addition
to a competitive salary.
INNOVUS is in the process of installing several additional
Unix based super-micro and mini computers in a network
environment, and is currently searching for people with
experience in the Unix programming environment.
2. The Position
INNOVUS has an immediate requirement for a person with
experience in the Unix programming environment to assist in
the integration of various technical and scientific
applications to the HP minicomputers and workstations
including the new "Spectrum" architecture.
The candidate will report to the Manager of Technical
Services, and work in both team projects and individually.
3. The Prerequisites
The ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science
or equivalent work experience, strong leadership skills,
effective verbal and written communication skills, and a
pleasant personality. A high level of proficiency in one or
more of C, FORTRAN, Pascal, or Lisp is expected, as well as
two to three years of experience with Unix (SYS V or Bsd) or
equivalent.

INSTITUTE FOR SPACE AND TERRESTRIAL SCIENCE
We have an immediate opening for a Research Associate to work in the
Human Performance in Space Laboratory of the Institute for Space and
Terrestrial Science.
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
Key Responsibilities: Conduct research on eye-hand-coordination and
visual localization in humans, and on man-robot interaction, in the
laboratory and in weightless conditions of parabolic aircraft flights and
space missions.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in experimental psychology, physiology
or biology is required. Computer skills and experience with
psychophysiological methods are advantages.
