I've found a great solution to the problem of taking papers, books, magazines, etc. while commuting to work on my bike. It's called the Motorcycle Briefcase from Eclipse, the tank bag people. It mounts on the tank with 3 quick release plastic buckles. A rubber pad strapped to the tank protects the finish. The briefcase is styled like fine soft luggage and has plenty of space for three-ring notebooks. It has a waterproof double zipper and a leather handle. The mounting system is secure while travelling at highway speeds. I special ordered mine through the local Honda dealer for $55, but mail order may be cheaper. It fits fine on smaller bikes like my Yamaha XS400 Seca (A great little cafe racer, but that's another story.) For a full review of the briefcase, see the Sept. 1982 issue of Cycle magazine on page 105. RIDE ON, Jim Larsen
