Re the previous article on reflective vests, for cycling visibility, the supplier (Conspicuity, Inc. of Chicago) also makes adhesive- backed strips, 1/2" wide, in 4 and 12 inch lengths (many colors) that are big contributors to visibility when stuck on helmets, luggage, etc. Also available in pin-stripe widths which can be applied to helmets, etc. in curved or other shapes. I have noticed, when following my wife on her motorcycle at night, that I can see her reflective vest and helmet tape from a much greater distance than I can see her taillight. These things really work!
