It's that time of year again -- The Illinois Cycle Rider Safety Training Program starts offering FREE Motorcycle Rider Courses (we even provide the motorcycles!) at a number of locations convenient for Indian Hill people. The 20-hour course, designed to teach and improve street riding skills and strategies, includes text materials, classroom instruction, supervised hands-on riding practice, and a motor- cycle for each student (you don't get to keep the bike after the course). About 8 - 10 hours are classroom; 10 - 12 hours are lab (riding practice). Course graduates are eligible for discounts from certain participating motorcycle dealers and insurance companies. If you're planning on buying your first bike, or just want to pick up some pointers, be sure to check them out. You owe it to yourself.
