Here we go, now I'm not a true American because I
don't ride a Harley. Mr. Williams, do you own a Japanese car?
How about a TV? How many new GM cars have the Chevy smallblock
in them this year?

Since, undoubtably, you are a true American, you can
tell me how such a small percentage of people have decided
what's good for the other 90% of the bike buying public.
Will this be good for Harley? How about the motorcycle
industry as a whole?

To hell with the old free enterprise system, let us
restrict Japanese autos so there will be no need for
Detroit to offer anything better than a '63 Rambler wagon.

Sure, Harley is busy designing new bikes to show us
they are really competing for my business. The ad says
something of a totally new computer design. The new XR1000
is the bike. With the aid of computer Harley has come up
with a machine that uses nearly the same engine, frame, and
hardware for the amazingly affordable price of 6990 dollars.

Who needs to compete when you can grease palms
and accomplish the same thing. Of course, all you have to do
in this country is mention that someone might lose their
job and we can't have that. The ones that should lose their
jobs are all the boys in Harley management. Better also get
the guys in product planning. The folks on the production
line don't have a say as to what they will build, so when
nothing is selling, someone upstairs is not providing the
proper product.

Please Harley, don't try and decide for me. Your power
in the marketplace should only be with your product.
I can only look upon your bikes with disgust.
