I agree with all the Harley flames I've seen here in the last few weeks. As long as I can only afford one bike at a time, I won't give Harley a cent for their cast-iron clunkers. I'm on my third Honda, and about to buy the fourth. Some day, though, I will be able to afford two bikes, and I may well buy a Harley. Nothing sounds like a Harley, and nothing looks like one (although Honda is trying awfully hard in the looks department). Generally speaking, Harleys are simpler machines than Japanese bikes -- a muscle-bound, simple-minded, brute-force approach. Machines like that are fun to tinker with. I like to keep them shiny and clean. But I'm glad I don't have to depend on one. Anybody else out there have this "secret" desire to someday own a Harley second bike? Or is it only those of us who like to tinker with "prototype" machines like old steam engines and such? -- Mike Lynch BTL Short Hills, NJ mhuxi!macrev
