Case savers / crash bars etc may save your engine cases in a minor tipover from minor scratches, but they are just one more thing to snag you if you do fly off in a major way. Plus the bigger bars are great levers to tweak your frame with, major or minor getoff. Smaller crash bars, i.e. case savers, seem to be better in that respect. The ones on my KZ550 really hug the engine, and even after a dumping in the rain good enough to bend the right one back 45 degrees, the front wheel still runs true to the rear. However there doesn't seem to be many case savers for smaller bikes. I could never find one for my Honda 360, and the ones my brother got for his Honda 400 are pretty flimsy looking pieces that are only medium in size. My inclination is to plan for the worst, pick your poison, and hope for the best! Au Nguyen ...!hou2h!an (201) 834-1042
