The Blue Ridge Parkway is an excellent road, if you want
to spend your whole life trying to see around a row
of twelve motorized hovels.

Terrible tale: Went to look at a used kamakazie h-1 two-smoke
500cc triple. $500, cheap. Shifted from second to third on test ride
at about twenty-five, causing chain to ride over front sprocket,
breaking chain. Chain causes sprocket cover to break. Chain
catches chain alignment adjustor bolt, breaking bolt. Rear wheel
shifts, locking against third pipe. Bike comes to screeching
halt now that tire is locked up.

The rider was not home when I came to look at the bike,
and his woman had lent me the keys. I walked back to their
house, and called the ubiquitous "friend with a pickup,"
and recovered the broken sled. Imagine how happy the owner
must have been when he got home...

 A strange experience...

I just got my Brand New CB 400F honda. Two days later I was driving down
Main st. Mytown, USA.. So it's a beautiful day and I'm driving along and
I see this girl that I know walking down the sidewalk, she yells "hey Fred
where ya goin " so I turn my head around ( still driving in the forward
direction ) and yell back " I'll be right back, wait there " I turn around
to see where I'm going and low and behold the car in front of me had stopped.
Needless to say I hit the car (with my Brand New Bike). The bike suffered
minimal damage, compared to my ego which was crushed when the girl refused
to get on the bike with me (I wonder why ? :-) ). Well I guess thats one
 way to learn.
