My '81 KZ550 used to burn anything remotedly resembling gasoline without any complaints at all. Nowadays, after 20K miles' worth of carbon deposits, she gets a bit fussy. If I whack the throttle open under severe conditions (top gear, below 3000 rpm, hill), the motor will ping. A couple of downshifts do wonders. And I still buy the cheapest gas I could find. I think Kawasaki recommends 89 minimum. BTW, I'm thinking of outfitting a Nighthawk S for sport touring, have you heard of anybody making a swoopy looking full fairing, eg. Hannigan, Vesco, Greer, Rickman, etc, for that bike? Au
