The Oregon Vintage Motorcyclists club (OVM) is having its annual spring meet on the weekend of June 2 & 3 at the fairgrounds west of Corvallis. Saturday is scheduled for a vintage bike tour around the local area. There are some other activities that day, but I don't have the announcement at hand. Sunday will have a swap meet in the morning (members only, I think) a meeting, and then from noon to 4? will be a public (not free, I believe) display of the bikes. Attendance has been quite good and a broad variety of machines are on display and evidenced in the parking lot as well. Memberships are available at the show. They have a semi-periodical newsletter with pictures, articles of interest, and wanted/for sale sections. If it rains, there are indoor areas at the fairgrounds for the displays. If you like old bikes or have never seen a random display of same, this is one of the best chances you'll have to confirm the notion that most of the "new" ideas in bikes are simply rehashes of things tried in the early days of biking--i.e. water cooling, monoshock suspensions, v-4 engines, dual brakes, etc. Don Chitwood teklabs!donch Imaging Research Labs Tektronix, Inc.
