Subject: Question on rent-a-bike : net.cycle

 Do "rent-a-motorcycle" places exist at all anywhere out there????
 I get sent on business trips that last more than a few days, and
 sometimes get a mad, passionate desire to ride.
 Even a place that rents barely-street-legal dirt bikes would thrill
 the living daylights out of me when I have been stuck somewhere like
 Oklahoma City for more than a week.
 I wonder if there just isn't enough demand, or the insurance/damages
 are just too outrageous.

	Hi. Yes, there are vacation spots that rent motorcycles!
I visit Oahu ( Hawaii ) frequently and know that various makes of
bikes are readily available for rent, such as GPz 550's, scooters,
and even a few big Harleys! The prices are supposed to be good though
the big harley was going for 70$ a day! It would be a wonderful way
to see the island and I recommend it.

Another rent-a-bike place:  MikMak Cycles, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
They have Kawasaki 440s, 550s, and 750s.   I don't know how good
their service or bikes are, but I'll be renting from them in mid-
July, so I'll post a summary when I get back.  One not-immediately-
obvious reason to do the Maritimes on a bike is that it's a lot
easier to get squeezed in on the always crowded ferries.

When in the Dallas-Fort Worth area you can rent a motorcycle at Dallas
South Kawaski on I-35E at Pleasant Run Road in Lancaster, Texas.  Can't
quote prices, but we bought our 1000 there and were happy with the service.
