>>>>>>> FACE FIRST!... >>>>>>> minute scratches in the shield... >>>>>>> retire the bubble ... >>>>>>> toothpaste... >>>>>>> encased in clothes.... >>>>>>> wasps in faces... >>>>>>> semis head on... Well, I have nothing to worry about. I love to ride my bike and I don't even have to worry about seeing. My pet bat is mounted under the fairing and is audio-coupled to small headphones in my helmet (is this illegal in some places? :-) and I can hear small cars, large semis, or even bugs and wasps coming for a mile away thanks to Batty. Is there concern for radar jamming on the highways? Who cares? I've never been caught for speeding thanks to Batty's natural communication abilities. The police radar is like a mating signal to him (he pants in my ear) and I know when to slow down. I think his constant emission of bat vibes may set off others' radar detectors too, so not only am I doing myself a favor, I am reglulating traffic and ensuring a safe 55-mph zone around my bat-cycle!! (see net.auto for constant concern in this area :-) I can safely drive with my eyes shut and and hands off the barz all day because I have nothin' to worry about with full leathers and Batty. This caused me great concern for awhile, but heck, skidding is fun!!! One you skid for a couple of hundred yards at 70 or so you'll never be the same - always wanting more. It's better than these new water-slides that are going up everywhere. (>>>>> ten feet on his face ....[he's getting the right idea]) And gosh, guys, talking of bugs and semis and stuff, keep clean out of the way of the Kenworths and Macs (trucks) - they hate scraping another damn cyclist from between the grill bars. It makes a helluva lot more mess than the common wasp!! --- reply to the net, what the heck!--- Lighten the load and happier trails in the future.
