I put a bottle (really 1.5) of a product called Seal and Balance in the tires of my 83 Nighthawk 750. Its supposed to seal punctures up to 1/8 inch as thet happen. This particular product seals by viscous action as opposed to other products that seem to seal by "melting" about 1/16 in layer of the inside of your (tubeless) tire. I wonder if anyone out there has had any experience with either of these products "in action". Some have told me to stay away from the latter type of product as it will eventually "eat" your entire tire from the inside out. I await a puncture with my "Seal and Balance" tires ... always carrying a can of tire inflator/sealer just in case. (I guess thats like wearing a belt and suspenders). In any case, do these "seal as they happen" products work ? Gary

This is probably a worst case application for the product though, because I only run about 10 lbs of pressure and I'm sure there is a lot of scrubbing action on the tube. bye, Ralph

I am a member of the "Over the Bars" club and know from personal
experience that those type of sealers work. After my accident, my
front rim looked like a half-moon, but the tube actually sealed itself
and retained most of the air (it contained one container of "Seal
and Balance").
