I don't ride much anymore, since I live in a place (N.Y. city) where you have to be crazy to ride a cycle. I usually ride with only a leather jacket. I have one for colder weather and another for when it is hot (I keep a bike in Calif. and ride when I out that way). I have been asked to leave bars because of my coat. Some of you in the Bay Area might know the place (St. James Infimary). I've never been bothered anyplace else. Vanson Leathers in Boston is an excellent place to buy leather stuff for cycling. Horns on the helmets (? !). It could be dangerous depending on how well they were attached and how your head impacts the pavement. What the hell, it's their heads. Is there one of those onerous laws out that way that requires people wear helmets? ..rich
