*** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE *** Somebody wanted advice on good leather jackets. The best I've ever seen are made by Vanson Leathers here in Boston. They use the thickest leather around, practically shoe leather, but they tan it so it's very soft and flexible. I wear a type H jacket and my wife wears an HL. Vanson's main business is racing suits, but they also make jackets, pants and chaps (touring suits too!). Vanson leathers are not cheap; about $200 to $225 a shot, but they're worth every penny in terms of protection & comfort. Those guys don't skimp when it comes to making nice jackets. I've seen one of their racing suits that saved its rider from a 140 MPH spill. Sure, you can go to Chess King and buy some flimsy jacket for under $150, but I wouldn't want to be wearing one if I ever dumped (God forbid!) Vanson is located at 58 Thayer Street, Boston Mass. They're good people, too. DISCLAIMER: I am not affiliated with Vanson in any way, I just like their products. Happy riding to all, Bill Norcott
