[net.cycle] Avoiding that knucklehead in the Buick.

I think most riders would agree that the greatest danger to their
safety (aside from low tire pressure, etc.) comes from automobile drivers,
i.e. "I never saw the motorcycle when I switched lanes". I'd like to offer
a couple of cheap practical suggestions to increase driver awareness of bikes.
Feel free to add/delete/comment/flame etc.

LIGHTS:	Use your headlight AT ALL TIMES. In some states, like here in
Mass., it's the law. On the expressway, use high beam. It may piss off some
drivers, but better to be noticed BEFORE there's an accident.

HORN: Get rid of the weenie bicycle horn that came with your scoot and
put in a loud car horn. Air horn's not necessary, a truck horn will do. It
costs about $12 & 25 minutes with a screwdriver and pliers. You'll be amazed
at the difference! Use frequently & with abandon.
