[net.cycle] BMW mufflers

Anyone have an opinion on Whispertone mufflers for BMWs?
I am due for new ones soon, but $85 each (from Capital Cycle) seems
too much. The Whispertones are supposed to be "quiet as stock" and
are $120 a pair. I also heard that Luftmeister makes BMW mufflers,
can anybody post their address?

The "BMW News" carries at least a half dozen different replacement
muffler ads every month. You get this slick magazine as part of
your membership bennies when joining BMWMOA (BMW Motorcycle Owners
of America). The classifieds in the back always carry ads for parts
for sale, when someone is dismembering a bike (crash victim), or some-
times someone has replaced stock exhausts on a fairly new machine
with an after market "performance" type and is selling the stock system.
