(i presume it is since you probably would have noticed your temp-guage skyrocket, but then what if the guage dont work.... :-) 2) From my old RD, true story: The little control-cable that connects the throttle to the yama-lube auto-injector pump broke. You have to remove the side-cover to notice it (we couldnt figure out why my bike siezed, but we removed the cover for another reason and just happened to notice it!) Without the yama-lube cable, you can get away with low speed driving in cool weather, but once you hit the highway... CLUNK! 3) The yamalube pump itself could be dead or not adjusted correctly. 4) Are you using the correct plugs (in canada models: b8ev NGKs) although too-hot plugs probably would have only done (-: minor :-) top end damage, not a complete weld job. 5) Could the carbs be running too lean (fouled in someway?) but I would think this too would show up on your temp-gauge. 6) Was the engine "broken-in" properly, or was is red-lined from day one? Break-in is important mostly to transmissions, but the rings need seating too, after your rebuild you must give it another break-in AS IF IT WERE BRAND NEW! - Ken Dykes (rd350b, rz350k) Software Development Group, U. of Waterloo Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
