Well folkes, last night I just destroyed a Pirelli Phantom+1 rear tire that still had good life left in it. (sigh, i didnt need that $145 anyway...:-( ) On my rz350, I had a 120/90 tire I got a new chain, and the tire came within 1/4 inch of the swingarm (plenty of spare room!! :-) :-) Wellllllll....., I took our local super highway (speed 60mph) and travelled about 70 miles to a concert I was late for (at about 80mph constant) Guess what!!! Tires (especially those that are inflated for full load) can expand upto a HALF inch..... Poof! 1/4 inch disappeared off the centre of my tire. So be warned when using slightly oversize tires at high speeds with minimum swingarm clearance! Oh yes, I didnt notice the blue smoke coming off the rear, RZs always have blue smoke! - Ken Dykes Software Development Group, U. of Waterloo Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. I noticed the damage today when i got onto the bike with cold tires, felt like a rubber rear axle when i cornered. pps: 110s look kinda cute on my bike :-}
