[net.cycle] Dirt bike riders in Oregon and Washington.

I have been reading alot about street bikes in net.cycle where are all
the dirt bike fans.

I'am from the east coast and the trial riding there is not as abundant
as here in Oregon. I've been to the Trask river, Brown's camp and
Diamond mill areas which are trail riders dream for the differant and
challenging trails. Trask river area is the best suited for beginners
and novices because the trail follows a jeep road which the beginners
can ride and ever so often the trail and jeep road meet ( about every
1/2 mile or so ) which is about a 15 mile loop. Browns camp has a good
beginner to novice power line trail which goes to Route 6 and one
large hill near the min. security correctional building. Also other
east coast style woods trails. I like diamond mill the best because
of the camping near a med. size stream and good views. There are trails
that ride the top ridge of the mountains and there is no room to dab
on ether side. One false move and down the ridge you go which is about
45 degrees, tricky not fatal.

So are the any other trail nuts out there. If there are tell about your
experiences and other good trail riding in Oregon and Washington by the
net.cycle route, so everone can enjoy.

Here I am! Seems like I'm the only other dirtbike nut
on the net. I ride a Yamaha IT490 and enjoy every minute when
I get out to ride. I ride mostly in northeast PA where mining
has left a lot of areas that provide challenging terrain for
riding. But since it is ruined land, nobody cares if you rip
the hell out of it. Thus one is free to blast about without
any land owners giving a damn.

I have a recurring problem - flat tires. I can usually
get home on a flat (the sidewalls are so stiff it's easy to ride
on a flat) if my can of instant spare tire doesn't do the job.
Just last Saturday while riding home on a flat I recalled an
article in an off-road magazine about a truck (from a SWAT team
or something) that had foam-filled tires for the purpose of
flat tire resistance under gunfire. This sounds like just the ticket
for me. Does anybody know of a scheme for doing this?

Thanx in advance! More on berm-busting later.
