The MSF is starting ATV classes. If you own an ATV you should find a class in your area and take one. I am quite sure that if these classes start getting a large turn out than the CPSC people will get off their silly hobby horse and leave ATV's (and motorcycles) alone for awhile. In Colorado, the certified instructor is Mike Pettiford. He is in Boulder and can be reached at (303) 494-MIKE. Classes will be held at Bandemere Raceway and are $50. I think classes for AT{V|C}'s are a great idea. However, if you're planning on buying one, please think a little about where you will ride it. I have people in my neighborhood who have bought these and have been racing them on the streets and on a nearby playground. This is not exactly safe in a place with lots of little kids and pets. Of course I know all you netters are too safety-conscious to ever do anything like that, so unless you have a good place to ride and a way of getting your vehicle there, you will have wasted your money. -- Chan "You can't legislate intelligence" Benson Hewlett-Packard Company Fort Collins, CO Please don't make this a flame trap for people who don't like ATV's
