[net.cycle] motorscooters

"Cycle World" magazine compared the Honda Elite 250 scooter
with the Honda 250 Rebel motorcycle a few months ago.
In sum, the scooter was very easy to learn to ride --
supposedly easier to ride than a bicycle even. But in
handling, accelaration and braking the motorcyle was better:
0-60mph in 14 seconds vs 18 seconds, 60-0mph (braking) in
112 feet vs. 144 feet. This compares to a typical 500cc
motorcycle's 0-60 time of around 6 or 7 seconds and braking
around 120 feet.

I suggest that you buy your 16-year-old daughter an old
Honda CB450.  First, they're cheap (I paid $100 for mine);
second, she'll be 18 by the time she gets it running.

He still remembered hearing Andy Warhol say, "No, the best
was when this guy bit off this guy's nose. That was the
best sex." And William Burrough's answer: "I heard about
that." -- "Wasn't that the best sex, Bill?" -- "Ah, yes, I
imagine so." -- "The best."
