Yes, this is true about Capital. They do have reasonable
prices, and they are pretty quick. However, while they
insist that their parts are authentic BMW parts, I've had
service people tell me different.

Specifically, I've had trouble with their points. At first
I only suspected the problem: the top (forward most part)
of the points where the wires are attached seemed to be
shorting out intermittently against the bottom of the
advance mechanism. (I confirmed this by painting the
exposed metal with rubber cement, thus increasing
resistance, and eliminating the short). Later, some one
told me they had the same prob with Capital points.

Their batteries are also different. Although they work
fine, I've heard the the BMW batteries have a 2(?) season
guarantee.

Don't get me wrong; I think Capital gives great deals and
prices. Often, when I receive an order, I discover that the
parts I requested are on sale.

There is also Luftmeister in Calf. They have some things
that Capital doesn't (their prices are generally a little
higher). Note that some of their equipment is incompatible
with authentic BMW stuff. I had to use their crash bars,
because my bike has their fairing (which got in the way of
the BMW bars).
