In response to the question about lowering seat height: Don't do it unless you absolutely have to. I ride a BMW R100RS and the thing has a rather tall seat -at first-. Awhile (about a thousand miles) after I got it I noticed that the front part of the seat (where the low bars force me to sit) packs down and loses about an inch. I can now put both feet down at lights, and I couldn't when I first bought the beast. The bike is soo nice on the open road (where it spends alot of time) you tend not to notice how far away the road is. The tall height (and lowish pegs) make for a nice all day mount. If you have short arms, you will want to avoid RS low handlebars or drive at autobahn speeds (the air holds you up at 50mph and beyond). If the K bike is like the R's in this respect it shouldn't be a great problem after a while, and the benefits on the open road are real.
