Cycle did a bit on anti-lock brakes two issues ago. BMW should have a system out in a year or two, since they are testing one now. They are most appropriate to motorcycles! Since the best answer to many accidents about to happen is to to brake hard and swerve as needed, bike front tires often lock up. I nearly threw my BMW away one day when an under control panic stop nearly turned into a wreck when I hit a (thankfully very small) patch of gravel. As always, someone decided to turn left in front of me. Luckily the gravel patch was at the _end_ of the stopping point. A working anti-lock would have taken much of the drama out of a really hairy situation. Another good point was that I think the car driver had a cardiac arrest when I hit the dual Fiam horns. For us now, nothing beats being well practiced at panic stops. ...still waiting for surface to surface missles for bikes, Neil Kirby. ...cbosdg!ian
