[net.cycle] Yamaha Vision owners' club

phil@mp-dixie.UUCP (Phil Glatz) (03/21/86)

If you are a Vision owner, you may be interested in a "users group"--

        Riders of Vision
        P. O. Box 310
        Seaside, CA 93955-0310

So far, they have published 3 issues of a great newsletter full of valuable
information and technical advice. Dues are $10/year or $45 lifetime. Rallys
are planned for the future, etc.

I've had my Vision since August of '83, drive it to work every day, and have
60,000 miles (can anyone beat that?). Only bugs were the poor seal in the
starter motor (I rebuilt it myself twice) and an acknowledged design flaw in
the alternator (I'm on my fourth now, but Yamaha has replaced them). I've
been thinking about getting a BMW 750/7, but I don't think my Vision will
ever die. Great cult bike ('64 Mustang of bikes).
