In the Boston Globe (9 August 1986), there was an article saying how insurance companies in Massachusetts were asking for a 33.7% hike in auto rates. Yes, I did not make a typo, that's 33.7%. I was under the impression that because we are burdened with a mandatory seatbelt law, our rates were going to go down. Silly me. I suppose the insurance companies are having a hard time paying rent on their buildings (seems like everywhere I've lived, an insurance company had the tallest building in town). I suppose motorcycle rates will be going up, also. Randwulf
