[net.cycle] More FZ600 debugging!

robert@sri-spam.UUCP (09/09/86)

This is a continuation of the saga of "The FZ600 which knew it couldn't."

When last we left our hero, he was desparately trying to push start his
new FZ600 because the engine wouldn't turn over at all when using the
starter. Taking it back to the Yamaha dealers for the second time on
this problem....

"Hmm, looks like you've got a bad starter. Whenever it heats
up it stops working. We'll order a new starter and install
	 it under warranty repair."

	"How long will that be?"

"A week to 10 days to order the part."

Now two full weeks later, the starter arrives...

	"C'mon you damned bike, start!!"

	"Nya-nya-nya-nya-click-click-click-......"

Push start time...

"Eannnghh, eannghh, eanngh, (pop) nya, blurta-blurta, (stop), DAMN!"

"Hi, Yamaha dealer? You know that bike I was going to bring in?
I was wondering if I could bring the battery in first, and then
	 the bike? Gee thanks."

Eventually our hero manages to get the battery re-charged, installed into
the bike, and the bike into the dealers. The first ride in over two weeks
is fun, but the bike is a little grumpy at not having been ridden. When
the bike gets out of the dealers, hopefully with the new starter and a
charged battery, tune in again for, "The Bike that Wouldn't Live" mwa ha
ha!!
