[net.cycle] Books on bicycle and wheel building

parrish@hpisla.HP.COM (Frank Parrish) (10/27/86)

I am planning to get the new(1987) SR600 CANNONDALE racing frame and build it up
to a complete bike. Can anyone recommend good books on bicycle and
wheel building, and where they might be available?

I have already ordered the book put out by BICYCLING magazine. I also
understand that a book titled "Building bicycle wheels" is really good, but
have not been able to locate a copy.

Even though most CYCLES have only two wheels....

	To REAL aficionados: CYCLE -> MOTOR not BI !!! :-)

	I.E., net.cycle -> net.motorcycle

   I take it that the SR600 previously mentioned is not a single produced
by Yamaha.. I kept trying to picture one with bicycle wheels and although
you would get substantial weight savings, I just couldn't appreciate the
final result.  :-)
