Well I thought that I would be talking about how nice my new Kawasaki Concours is at this time but instead I'm telling how I was run into. I was coming home last nite from the Kawasaki dealers with my new taller windshield bungied on the seat and was making a right turn at a light. I had stopped and was starting to go when a fast car was approaching the intersection from the left. I stopped again and this guy in a small pickup slammed into the back of me throwing me off the bike and into the intersection. I was not hurt (helmet, leather jacket, gloves, and boots) but the plastic on the rear and left side of the bike was munched pretty bad. The lesson I have learned from this is not to start and then stop again in a turn in heavy traffic. Once you have committed, the vehicle behind you considers you gone and looks for the next vehicle to make a decision about. Oh well, I got to ride 176 miles on it.... I think that it was nice.
