Does anyone know about the 8-pin IC inside the Nikon FM that
handles the metering, etc. ? The meter in my Nikon FM (1979 model)
is beginning to flake out. My repair-folks say that this is a common
problem and it's usually cured by replacing the IC. Is the chip Nikon
uses in the FM a custom or standard IC? Where can I find a spec sheet
on it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
