I'm interested in advice, reviews, gossip, etc. on small full-frame 35mm cameras. I used to have an Olympus 35RC, which I didn't fully appreciate until I gave it away. I'd dearly love to get another, but Olympus doesn't make them any more, and I don't like the looks of XA. Besides, it has a built-in flash that is only automatic if you use ASA100 film (what, use an Olympus with something other than Fujichrome?). About the only 35 rangefinder (as opposed to scale focus or auto focus) camera I can find is the Cannonet, which seems a bit big and heavy for its class. Any comments on it? A camera dealer told me that the tiny Rolei (I'm sure what it's called) used to be a good camera, but recent models are junk. He recommended the Minnox. The only one he had was a GT, for about $180. I saw an ad by a mail-order house for a GL for $109. Does anybody know anything about what models of Minnox exist and what their features are? Are they worth the price? As always, please respond by mail. I will summarize for the net. Marvin Solomon Computer Sciences University of Wisconsin, Madison WI solomon@uwisc ...!harpo!uwvax!solomon P.S. Please, do not recommend the Leica. I'm not Jaydee Rocco Feller.
