It has been suggested that Polaroid 35mm film costs about the same as (say) Ektachrome. Not quite true. At one large NY discount photo store, the Polaroid stuff costs $12 for 36 exposures. You must also buy mounts: the Polaroid ones cost $4.50 per hundred. Total cost: about $13.50/36 exposures. This same store sells Kodachrome 64 for $6 for 36 exposures, including Kodak processing. Thus the Polaroid film is slightly more than twice as much money per frame. Of course, if you need the results NOW, there's no comparison.
