----- I own two cameras -- An Oly. OM2 and a PENTAX S1a. Anyone remember the S1a? According to a 1958 Popular Photography, it would seem to have been the first "Professional" 35mm SLR w/eye-level prism and instant return mirror. It also had "full automation" -- it had the stop-down pin for the diaphram. There was a piggyback ligh-meter available for it. It has the best focusing screen I've ever used -- quite bright and easy to use micro-prism rings with a concentric-ring outside field. I wish I could get such a screen for the OM-2! With a 600mm lens the microprism still would not go black! Anyone have any information about this vintage of cameras? -- Daniel Glasser [ One of those things that goes "BUMP!!!
