I saw an ad on the NEW YORK TIMES saying that NIKON FE-2 body
costs only $199.95 (rebate included). It's the lowest price
for FE-2 I've ever seen. The dealer is NEW YORK CAMERA ( 131
West 35th St. NYC.). Is it a reliable dealer? I came to the
US only four months ago and know little about the camera market
in the States. Could somebody help me? Thank you in advence.

Most all of those New York camera shops are the same, and they all have
one drawback: if your camera breaks down, they'll tell you to send it back
to the factory, whereas, if you buy from a local dealer, you can usually get
some satisfaction from him in case of a failure. Course, you'll pay more.
