[net.rec.photo] Need lens info

jgpo@iwu1c.UUCP (John, KA9MNK) (03/16/84)

Thanks to all who took the time to respond to my inquiry about wide-angle
lenses. The general consensus was that a 35mm lens isn't all that different
from a 50, and that a 24mm is very tricky to use. One person said he had
a problem with his lens hood showing up around the edges when he used his
24. He couldn't find a hood big enough to get out of the way! All agreed
that a 28mm lens is the "standard" wide-angle, and is the one I should
consider, unless I want some special effects (such as fish-eye, etc.). So,
I thank you all, and I'm going to go out and get a 28mm before I head West
on vacation.

	Thanks again,
