[net.rec.photo] In recommending the Nikon FE-2

sb@cvl.UUCP (Babu Srinivasan) (03/31/84)

A few days back I had recommended the Nikon FE-2.
I still maintain what I said but I didn't do justice by not
mentioning OLympus.

OLympus OM-4 is a very good Camera for advanced Amateurs
and even Professionals. I would put it in the same class as the Nikon F3
the Pentax LX, and the Canon F1. (All of them are beyond my budget
though. If you don't have much money buy better lenses than Sophisticated
Bodies).

Olympus OM-2n is a very good camera especially if you do a lot
of low light or Astro Photography. However I rejected both the OM-4 and
the OM-2n because the Aperture setting is not visible in the Viewfinder.
If that is not so important to the prospective camera buyer he or she should
seriously consider the OM-2n or the OM-4. If money is not a factor choose
the OM-4
