---- I loved my OM-1, but I love my NIKON FG even more, and I think I'm going to love my NIKON FA still more than that (when I get it, soon). Concerning the problem with overexposure on the auto-flash. I think I know what you mean. And the problem exists with all auto-flash systems that exist currently. The problem is that in flash situations, light is averaged over the whole picture. This is true even on the fancy OTF (off-the-film) metering systems. Since distant objects receive less of the strobe light, nearby objects will tend to get overexposed. To combat this, have most of the parts of the scene at about the same distance from the camera or use some sort of compensation. On the FG there is a dial for doing this, or you can lie to the camera about the ASA of the film. Alternatively, you can illuminate the background with photofloods or slave strobes or whatever. If this isn't the problem you're talking about then you should have your system checked. Vick Bennison ...decvax!decwrl!rhea!turtle!bennison (603) 881-2156
