Another reason that there are only a few independent labs which process Kodachrome is that Kodak doesn't sell packaged chemistry for it -- just a big thick book telling you how to compound the stuff. Fuji slide film is Ektachrome from the point of view of a processor -- that is, E-6 compatible. They may possibly make the best slide film this nano-instant (personal opinion). I'm also partial to Agfa.
