{} I have only seen the Daylab in use once, when an Agfa rep was using it for on-the-spot demos of the new Agfachrome-Speed printing system. The Daylab had miserably uneven illumination. I looked it over to see how much of the demo results were the result of the Daylab, and I concluded that it (the Daylab) could only be considered a toy. Of course, this is solely my opinion. The Agfa rep agreed with me, but pointed out that it was amazing just to be able to make prints from slides in a store on the spot, and it was that he was trying to emphasize rather than quality results. Presumably he was attempting to get people just to try it on their own, at which time they could assess the Agfa quality for themselves. -Brian Diehm Tektronix, Inc. P.S. - I was impressed with the ease of use of the Agfachrome Speed, and I have since used it with good results. I think it is superior to Cibachrome, and it is CERTAINLY easier to use. It also allows some contrast control. However, it is expensive.
