[net.rec.photo] VR200 exposed at ASA 100

whalen@erlang.DEC (An Italian at heart) (09/20/84)

Thanks to all that responded on my request for help in getting my
improperly exposed film developed. Some told me that I could probably get
special processing for it, others said that the film has so much latitude
(1 stop under, 3 stops over) that I should get near perfect prints with
normal developing. I finally decided to go with normal developing.

I got the pictures back today and they came out just fine. The lighting on
the pictures varied from sunset to bright mid-afternoon sun. I'm not too
much for recognizing grain so I don't know if there is any problem there.

For those of you wondering how it happened here is the story:
I loaned my Canon Snappy-20 to my mother before she went on vacation. She
has borrowed this camera from me before and always gotten good results
without having to worry about setting the camera. Either she or my father
put the roll of film in the camera (which can be set for 100 or 400), and
left it set at 100. When I got the camera back about a month ago there
was a partially exposed roll of film in it and my mother told me to finish
it off. After doing so and finding out it was exposed wrong I was unsure
how the pictures would come out. I figured that before I took any chances
I'ld find out the odds. Since they were even I sent it off to be
developed without a worry as to how they would come back.

Again, thanks to all of you that responded.
