> I would recommend against buying a Canon 35-105 mm f3.5. Many people

> Abe's of Maine is selling a 35-135 mm lens for just $119. It is a better

Wait one minute. Features and cheapness do not a better lens make!!!!!!!
Zoom lenses are one of the hardest lenses to make well with sharpness and
no flare. Canon, Pentax, Nikon, and Minolta are the ONLY brands that have
consistently made good zooms. All of the others have made at least one
dog if not all dogs. Even the "good" zooms are not the quality of a
fixed focal length lens. If you just read magazines and don't take pictures,
then buy cheap. But if you really want pictures, check image contrast
results. The magazines publish them only for lenses which are not real
dogs since they don't want to offend advertisers. When they do a mediocre
lens they just ho-hum it and let the reader be ware again since they do
not want to offend advertisers.
