I am going to shoot a roll of Kodak Technical Pan. Does anyone have information about this stuff? Thanks John

> I am going to shoot a roll of Kodak Technical Pan. > Does anyone have information about this stuff? I recently saw a neat-looking book in the Kodak series, called "Kodak professional B&W films". It has all the info about Technical Pan in it. Try a big photo store with a book department. The only thing I remember is that the speed is 32-320 depending on the developer. Also, I believe "Darkroom Photography" had an article about T. Pan in one of their last 5 issues. I know it isn't much help, sorry, but I thought that net.users should hear about the Kodak book. E.J. Ah, Tech Pan... The stuff is great. It can be used at almost any speed (I've seen it anywhere from 25 with HC-110 (dilution B) with excelent results (good contrast, best grain going, terrific resolution), all the way up through ~250 with D-76 (full strength at ~73 degrees, coming out looking slightly like infra-red...). It's fun to play around with, because it's so tough to ruin a roll. On the other hand, there's a good chance of finding something new out of the film every time you use it. Enjoy... ----------------- ARPA : jordan@ucbvax.ARPA UUCP : ..ucbvax!jordan
