Two years ago I spent 3 weeks in England, photographing many cathedrals. The one lens I didn't have at the time (but have since acquired) that would have been the most useful is the 35TS (a "shift" lens for Canon cameras). Several of my photographs have a very distressing amount of distortion which could have been eliminated. Even though expensive, I think that shift lenses are indespensible if one is serious about architectural or interior photography.
