[net.rec.photo] Nikon F3 Exposure Lock Question

I have a question for those F3 owners out there.

The FE2 has a 'memory hold lock', which in effect, freezes only the
shutter speed. In other words, activating this lock and
then changing the aperture will effectively bracket the exposure.

Does the F3's exposure lock operate the same way?

thanks,
