I have an old (~20 years) "Honeywell Futuramic II Strobonar Electronic Flash." That part works okay. I also have a ring light attachment for it. The ring light doesn't work anymore. The ring has been dormant for several months and I tried using it last week. It charges, but won't flash. Connecting the two wires on the plug produces a spark there, but no flash. I went to my photo store and the guy there just shook his head. First any idea what is wrong? I suspect the tube's aged out. Secondly, how can I get it fixed? Where can I get a ring strobe tube? Is there some company that might be able to fix this guy? How much is this going to cost? Brian H. Powell brian@ut-sally.{ARPA,UUCP} U.S. Mail: Southwestern Bell P.O. [] My guess would be that if the tube is not broken it is probably allright. After 20 years it is far more likely that your electronic components have crapped out - most likely the capacitors. Try giving the problem to an electronics guru friend or a good radio/tv repair shop if there is any such thing anymore. -- "It's the thought, if any, that counts!" Dick Grantges hound!rfg
