My SO recently attended a family reunion function, and noticed a common
problem. It seems that the single most prevalent camera (maybe the only
camera anyone had) was the Canon Sure Shot. All of the owners were 1) quite
pleased with the versatility and ease of use of the camera and 2) having some
problems with balky equipment. Now, all of these cameras were about two or
three years old and had been used fairly regularly. One of the owners had
taken her camera in and been told that the motor was worn out. The question
is, is this a common phenomena among Canon Sure Shots? Among cameras in
general (Ok, at least of the newer, more automatic cameras)?
Some response would be greatly appreciated (to appease my SO and assuage my
curiousity). Please mail replies to me, as I do not regularly read this
